Hipstamatic, hipsters (and Wes Anderson)

insert your Hipstamatic photo here

Recently a friend hipped me to Hipstamatic, the absurdly simple and addictive photography application (okay, app) for iPhone.

I both love, hate, and fear Hipstamatic because it turns almost any crappy photo snapped on the iPhone into something rather beautiful.  As if to prove, my Hipstamatic photos follow.  (Also, more of my photography is here, and for your true hipsters, here’s the making-the-rounds “save the date” video– yes, those are now a thing– that pays homage the ‘Yankee Review’ section to Rushmore.  It’s here, and it’s legitimately brilliant.  Not like some faux-hipster’s photos he took on his iPhone with an app everyone knows about.)

Finally, one of the great aspects of this on-the-go photography is getting to see familiar places in new ways.
